I guess this forum needs something in it...

This was recorded with my little dictation tape recorder, so the sound fades in and out and is of poor quality, but the performance is so good, it's worth it.

This was at the 2005 West Coast Ragtime Festival. I heard heard them do this a few months before in Sutter Creek, so pulled out the tape recorder (which I typically only used to capture performances of my own compositions) when I realized what they were about to do here at WCRF.

Taking the lead is Tom Brier (piano farthest from me so it's quieter), with Frederick Hodges on embellishments.

That is a fun.  A bit goofy, but fun.  It is a nice example of what two good musicians can do.  Very nice.

Ha, I liked this duet.  It has a circus quality at times.  My favorite part is when Tom turns to a 6/8 time sig, but Frederick just keeps on chiming in.  It just snowballs from there into utter absurdity and ragtime embellishment heaven!!
